Description

The Foresters Arms - a short, scenic, tarred drive from the capital, Mbabane - is ideally situated for exploring all the attractions of this majestic Kingdom. 

The hotel is situated on 90 ha of beautiful Swaziland highlands in the heart of the Kingdom. 

Fresh vegetables and herbs and (in season) strawberries, youngberries and raspberries are used in our food, which is prepared with care and pride. 
Spoil yourself with our wonderful nine-course dinner by candlelight and choose your wine from our imaginative wine list.
The Foresters Arms has its own pure, fresh spring water.

This area of Swaziland is a  paradise of wild flowers, where agapanthus, cerise watsonias, heath, arum lilies, the fragile dierama and delicate grasses abound.

Accommodation

All 30 bedrooms are tastefully decorated, with bathrooms en suite, telephones and TV. There are outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. The colourful gardens are a favourite haunt of the sunbirds and paradise flycatchers.

Wake up to tea or coffee served to your bedroom and saunter through for a splendid breakfast served in the dining room or on the sun terrace.  A variety of fresh fruits and juices, home-made muesli, breads, muffins, pastries, as well as traditional English breakf

Lunch on the terrace and, if you are here on Sunday, experience our extensive  buffet/braai which draws visitors from afar.  Spoil yourself with our wonderful nine-course menu by candlelight. The menus change daily to suit all needs and tastes and includes salads, homemade breads and ice-creams.

The country atmosphere is echoed in the lounges, pub and restaurant with roaring log fires, charming furnishings and old prints.

Directions

By Road .... Please note that passports are necessary at the border post for all travellers. From Kruger National Park Continue on the MR3 highway towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 12 (Mhlambanyatsi). Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi and Foresters Arms. From Johannesburg / Pretoria From JHB Airport, take the road towards Boksburg then the N12 to Witbank. Continue on the MR3 highway towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 12 (Mhlambanyatsi). Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi and Foresters Arms. From N.E. KwaZulu Natal Continue on the MR3 towards Mababne. Exit at Junction 13. Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi & Foresters Arms From Drakensburg / KwaZulu-Natal On the northern (Ermelo) side of Piet Retief, turn right towards Houtkop/Emhlathini border post. After about 1 km turn right on to the Klein Vrystaat (KV) /Houtkop road. This is a lovely road on the Swaziland side. At the T-junction, turn left towards Bhunya. Continue straight to Foresters Arms. From Durban Continue on the MR3 highway towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 12 (Mhlambanyatsi). Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi and Foresters Arms.
